Volunteers like Vesec

The Opening Ceremony of the 10th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 is fast approaching. The preparations are in full swing and there are many volunteers to help make sure everything runs smoothly. Let's have a closer look at their life outside the sporting venues.
The majority of volunteers are accommodated at the university dormitory in Vesec.
"It's superb here, nice and spacious. I didn't expect anything else. We even have a radio in the room. And the food is great as well. We have a menu to choose from at breakfast so everybody can pick what he or she likes. And there's a beer vending machine. I like it here," Lukáš Zábranský from the Media Department speaks highly of the accommodation. Kryštof Kuba from Alpine Skiing is also satisfied. "The showers are in the hall but they look nice."
The volunteers entertain themselves in Vesec with various activities. "We can play table tennis or watch TV. I share a room with my friends from the boarding house and I am satisfied," says Veronika Krupičková from the Catering Department. Lucie Ditzová from the Technical Support agrees: "Table football and table tennis are great. We also watch TV. I like it here."
The accommodation satisfies not only volunteers, but also the technicians. "I think the room equipment is ok. We have a radio, which is nice. It’s slightly beyond my expectations, I must say. The only thing I forgot is my towel, which fortunately lay prepared for me on the bed. What else can you wish," says Ondřej Malý from Alpine Skiing.
The volunteers have made friends quickly and spend their free time together in the dormitory or in the centre of Liberec.
