Organising Committee Premiere Attended by Ulrich Wehling

On Tuesday, 25 August, Liberec played host to the first ever meeting of the entire Organising Committee team of EYOWF 2011 in the Liberec Region. The members of the Committee are also preparing a rehearsal in the form of the Czech Youth Olympics 2010 (ODM) which will take place one year prior to the biggest sporting event in the history of the Czech Republic, EYOWF 2011.
The aim of the meeting was to present the stages of preparations in detail as well as the scope of both the events, as well as to get to know one other. During the official part, more than 30 members presented each organising section along with their main focus. An unexpected, but particularly pleasant surprise of the evening session, was a visit by Ulrich Wehling, the Sports Director of the FIS Nordic Combined section and a three-time Olympic winner and world champion in this discipline.
The official part of the programme was concluded with a toast made by Petr Doležal, chair of the Administrative Board of the EYOWF 2011 Public Benefit Corporation. The unofficial part which followed was filled with social conversation and fun playing the Wii Fit console. The next meeting of the Organising Committee is scheduled for mid-October.
