EYOWF 2011 has a new image spot

Our new image spot, presenting the 10th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF) 2011 in the Liberec Region, revolves around the attractive locales of the Liberec Region, the eight disciplines in which medals will be awarded, and youth, playfulness and dice as a symbolic element, combined with teenage liveliness.
The three-minute image spot for the EYOWF 2011 Organising Committee was created by the company FTJ Video. The most difficult thing the film-makers had to face was shooting a winter spot in the summer months, in order words without snow.
Tomáš Forejt, owner of FTJ Video, explains the filming conditions: “Fortunately, we could make use of this year’s EYOWF Festival in Polish Sczyrk, where we took most of the shots. Further material was provided by Czech Television, Tipsport Arena in Liberec or the figure skating club BK Variace from Liberec.” Time-lapse shots are frequent motifs in the video which serve to demonstrate the dynamics, activity and life in the Region. Two seconds of the original classic shot are replayed 10,000 times faster and are actually filmed over the entire day.
The main themes are children and dice, which gradually introduce the entire Liberec region and present eight sport disciplines. “We addressed a group of students directly from Liberec, who also appear in other promotional materials of the Festival. The dynamics of the clip are emphasised by the music, for which we had to symbolically cross the ocean. The recording company is located in Canada. It was a real challenge for us,” adds Tomáš Forejt.
The organisers showed the spot for the first time at the end of November at the EOC General Assembly in Lisbon, where it met with much acclaim. The Czech premiere took place during a press conference on 18th December 2009 in the Hotel Zlatý lev in Liberec.
